Explore ASIAN Festival

BMO Vancouver Marathon

May 4, 2014

Held at the Concord Pacific Place; the BMO Vancouver Marathon is one of Canada's largest marathons and has an extensive history since its inaugural year in 1972. 
The event has had participation from athletes from around the world - 38 countries in 2008!

This year,
participants in the 42.2 km Marathon, 21.1 km Half Marathon, 8 km, and McDonald's Kids MaraFun will all toe the same line on race day! Start line is on Pacific Boulevard, east of GM Place.  Finish line is on Pacific Boulevard, south of GM Place.

Vancouver International Children's Festival

May 27 - June 04, 2014

The Vancouver International Children's Festival at Vanier Park features the finest theatre, music, dance, puppetry, storytelling, and comedy from around the world. Shakespeare Festival - Bard on the Beach

June 11 - September 20, 2014

Bard on the Beach is one of Canada's largest not-for-profit, professional Shakespeare Festivals. Presented in a magnificent setting on the waterfront in Vancouver's Vanier Park, the Festival offers Shakespeare plays, related dramas, and several special events in two performance tents from June through September. Bard on the Beach is a registered not-for-profit society with a mandate to present the works of William Shakespeare professionally and with integrity in an annual Festival that is both affordable and accessible to a wide audience, and to nurture and promote a passion and enthusiasm for Shakespeare's work.
