Vancouver Greek Days

Greek Day is part of a Hellenic Cultural Week running from June 16 - 25. This festival drew about 60,000 visitors each year until our "friendly" Vancouver Council with full backing of Vancouver's finest, I think we all know who, decided to shut it down. But this year the Greek Festival will be back on West Broadway, near all those wonder full Greek restaurants. Lets all go there to beat 60,000. Vancouver Jazz Fest

June 20- July 01, 2014

Vancouver Jazz Festival

"One of the finest international music showcases in the world. For ten days, the Vancouver International Jazz Festival offers the sights and sounds of the music edge pushers, mainstayers and international ambassadors in a panoramic city sweep that keeps the focus on the music and the vitality of Canada's West Coast urban cultural Mecca"

Bill Smith, jazzreview.com

Vancouver becomes "Jazz Heaven" during the city's largest annual festival. The Vancouver International Jazz Festival is recognized internationally as one of the finest and most adventurous music festivals in the world, presenting a huge range of jazz, world, improvised music and blues. Last year over 430,000 attended the festival, accommodations, transportation companies and tour operators could not keep up with the demands. Washington State licence plates were everywhere in the lower mainland with a great jazz population from Seattle enjoying the festivities. The Festival features over 400 performances by famous, infamous and emerging artists from across Canada and around the world at 40 venues. Enjoy both ticketed shows and many free events including free extravaganzas such as Gastown Jazz, and Jazz at the Roundhouse.

Make sure you get your accommodations and transportation plans in order early!
